Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chromecast has some real competition now. Simply put the Roku Streaming Stick is the best $50 you can spend. Roku has well over 1000 channels compared to the handful that Chromecast has. The Roku is easy to set up and activate. Be advised though, when setting up an account you will be required to enter a credit card. However, if you don't have one you can call customer support and they will bypass the credit card info for you. All in all a very good device and is well worth the extra $15 over the price of a Chromecast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chromecast Killer! This is hands down the best streaming device, period! Easy to setup, easy to use, and the price is like the cherry on top! It blows the Chromecast out of the water in every way! I can't believe this little device, the size of a USB thumb drive has so much streaming content! I can't wait for Wrestlemania 30 on the WWE Network this Sunday! Thank you Roku!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great device! I like this a lot. It's out of sight and works pretty well. There are some issues with some channels not coming up properly (e.g. Disney Junior) but they might be fixing that. The device gets an update over the air as soon you you plug it in and connect to the internet. Make sure you have that happens cause I think that solves a bunch of problems. Overall, can't beat it for the price!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just one issue to address This product is very nice and I loved the fact it was small and out of the way. It works flawlessly. Some folks say it is slow and loads Netflix slow but I had no problem with it. I had no problem with any other channels either. The only problem I have is that it is too wide to fit next to anything else plugged into HDMI. It really needs a HDMI extension dongle. Other than that I have no issues. Highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Streaming Solution for Small Places I've had one Roku in my living room for a while, and i wanted to get another for my bedroom TV hanging on the wall, but without having to worry about another box just laying around. This is a awesome product for those small places. Id say that the Chromecast is a piece of outdated junk compared to the Roku Streaming Stick!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Would not fit my Samsung TV, slow boot I bought this Roku because I dislike the built-in "Smart TV" interface on my Samsung. The problem is that the stick, when powered by my Samsung USB port, turns off when the TV turns off, so I have to wait for the Roku to boot every time I turn on my TV. Plugging the stick into the 120V power adapter would solve this of course, but that defeats the purpose of having the "stick" form factor. Also it is too big to fit where my HDMI are. I would have to get a 90 degree adapter from Monoprice. A good concept but unfortunately its not a fit for my application.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely disappointed This is my fourth Roku product purchase. The first 3 are fantastic. This particular unit is a complete miss for me. It: - keeps on incessantly rebooting - takes up to 45 seconds to load a menu screen such as Netflix - will take up to 10 seconds to respond to remote control inputs - doesn't do well on wifi signal if not really close to router (where the other units do fine) A real disappointment. I have given the ratings below objectively as they don't address the fact that the unit doesn't work ( eg. Even if doesn't work it was very easy to set up)
