Reviews

It's a fast little stick, easy to set up, and the picture is sharp immediately. I couldn't be happier with it.

The thing I like best is using the Roku app to wirelessly listen to shows using earbuds plugged into my phone. Now I can watch movies silently while my wife is sleeping.

Common questions

Will the Roku Streaming Stick work with my TV?

The Streaming Stick requires an HDTV with HDMI® input. For the best experience, we recommend you power your Streaming Stick with the included wall mount power adapter.

Have an older TV without HDMI ports? We have you covered. The Roku 1 is perfect for older TVs. Or consider other Roku player models for your HDTV.

common questions

What do I need to set it up?

Setting up your Streaming Stick requires that you have a broadband internet connection, a wireless router, power (our lawyers made us say it), and an HDTV. Once you have all of those ingredients, just plug in your Streaming Stick. Our guided set up will walk you through updating and installing channels. You should be up and streaming in no time flat.

Are there any charges or monthly fees?

Purchasing your Roku player is a one-time charge. There are no monthly fees to use your Roku player, and many Roku channels offer you high-quality entertainment for free. Depending on which channels you want to watch, on-demand fees or subscription fees may apply.

Do I need a Roku player for each TV in my house?

Roku players are designed to work with one TV at a time. Although you can move it between TVs as needed, we recommend getting a Roku player for additional TVs on which you want to watch streaming entertainment. Roku players start at just $49.

Do I need more than one Roku account?

If you have more than one Roku player in your home, linking multiple players to a single Roku account ensures that all of your Roku players are synced with your installed channels from that account.

If you have multiple members in your household who want different channels on their respective Roku players, you can link each player to a different Roku account.

Channels, such as Netflix or Hulu, can be shared across different Roku players at the same time, even when they are linked to different Roku accounts.

Each Roku player may only be linked to one Roku account at a time.
