Is it ok to plug an extension cord into a smart plug?

You can plug an extension cord into a Roku Smart Plug if it doesn’t exceed the plug’s max load of 15 amps, or approximately 1800 watts. Most extension cords, power strips, and surge protectors do not exceed that amount, but always check to make sure you don’t overload the plug before you plug in your device.
