Roku TV
Was easy to setup. Not having had a smart TV before, I had some trouble figuring it out. But now I have way better TV choices at half the price of the DirectTV I used for last 27 years. The Roku TV is high quality but I would get sound bar. It made the sound better in our situation.

Spectacular purchase
We originally bought the ROKU 75" Plus, which was ok, but returned it for the Pro version, and it was well worth it. It has a way better picture quality than the Plus, among other outstanding features.

Roku Pro Series 55" Mini-QLED TV
Purchased at Best Buy to replace a 10-yr old Samsung 55" TV which had developed some light bleeding (which I was unsuccessful at fixing with YouTube videos). Paid much less ($600) than what I had paid 10 years ago for the Samsung ($1000). Wanted a Roku set because I had been using a Roku Stick on my old Samsung for many years and liked the interface - and because I had read in several online reviews that new Samsungs, unlike the old ones, required you to use their platform and have a Samsung account. That may or may not have been true, but I wasn't going to take the chance with such an expensive appliance. I read hundreds of reviews from multiple sources because I was concerned about Roku quality - Samsung has been making TVs for much longer than Roku - but surprisingly, Roku had a higher percentage of "5s" and a lower percentage of "1s" and "2s" than Samsung. That, combined with the lower price of Rokus and my familiarity with its user interface, made me feel comfortable in buying a Roku. So far, one month in, I am 99% satisfied. The picture is great (as was my Samsung before the light bleeds, if I'm being honest), the user interface looks the same as it was with my Roku Stick but is MUCH faster than with the Stick, and the remote is rechargeable - unlike the Stick, which ate two AAA batteries about every six weeks. And the sound is terrific - although I don't have a sound bar, the side-firing speakers make it sound like I do, with a subwoofer to boot! Much superior to my old Samsung's sound. The only problem that I've noticed is this: periodically, a few times per session, the screen will suddenly become slightly brighter or slightly darker, and stay that way. I thought it might be because of the "auto-brightness" feature (although it will do this even when the lighting in the room has not changed), so I disabled that feature and chose the "standard" brightness in the menu. But the TV still does it. As noted, it's only 2-3 times over the course of an evening's watch, so it's not frequent, and the degree to which it changes brightness is slight, so it's not jarring, and I'm not planning to return the TV because of it. It's definitely 5 stars, and this problem is only enough to drop my personal satisfaction score from 100% to 99%. I'm very pleased with it. Thanks, Roku!
