If you are not already enrolled in the Roku Developer Program please follow these steps:
If you are already a Roku developer please follow these steps:
From the Roku Developer Home select “Manage Channels”, then “Create a Public Channel”. Provide information that describes your channel, such as region availability, languages and pricing. Then contact us at to email@example.com.
As a security measure, Marmalade channels must be packaged by Roku.
Marmalade developers create their channels using the Marmalade SDK instead of Roku SDK. (The Roku SDK is based on an easy to learn scripting language called BrightScript.) When a developer submits their Roku SDK channel to Roku for publishing they upload it via the Roku Developer website. Applications created with the Marmalade SDK cannot be submitted from the Roku developer site. Roku will assist in packaging your channel with a recognized marmalade development key and submitting your channel for publishing.
Additionally, although all developers must enroll in the Roku Developer Program, developers intending to submit Marmalade applications must provide Roku a completed Roku Marmalade developer agreement. Marmalade developers must also enroll in Roku Billing Services, as they’ll likely be selling their application.
Any Roku units used for Marmalade development must be white-listed by Roku before they can side-load a Marmalade application.
When creating your channel we ask you to select regions (Roku Channel Stores) where you would like to make your channel available. You must have the rights to distribute your channel in any regions you select. Available regions are United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and Rest of World. Roku customers who do not reside in one of these regions are assigned to Rest of World.
Roku players support English, French, Spanish and German. If you provide channel metadata in any of those languages, it will display in the Roku Channel Store in that language (if the player is set to that language).
