It’s the first major film in the United States to be released in theaters and on demand simultaneously

While many other film release dates are being pushed to later in the year, Universal has decided to give the fans what they want and bring Trolls World Tour to the streaming world at the same time as its theatrical release. Starting on April 10, you can stream the highly anticipated film on your Roku devices on Vudu, FandangoNOW, Google Play, Prime Video, and Apple TV.

Is the whole gang from Trolls returning for the sequel?

If you saw the original, you can probably guess which member of the crew won’t be returning for Trolls World Tour. Creek, who betrayed his friends in order to save himself, only to end up perishing with the miserable Bergen Chef, will clearly not be making an appearance in the second film of the franchise.

The soundtrack features a catalog of A-List stars

Following up on the hit soundtrack from Trolls is no easy task, but the roster appearing on the album for the sequel is simply star-studded. Artists include Justin Timberlake, Anna Kendrick, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Dierks Bentley, George Clinton, and SZA.

There are six tribes of Trolls

In Trolls World Tour, Poppy and Branch learn that they are not the only species of Trolls. Throughout the film, the duo and their friends set out to visit six different tribes of Trolls in different lands devoted to six different types of music: Pop, Funk, Country, Techno, Classical, and Rock.

A new franchise for DreamWorks Animation

Trolls World Tour marks the fifth franchise for DreamWorks Animation, following in the footsteps of Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, and How to Train Your Dragon.
