Top ways to stream soccer on your Roku device [guest post]

One of the best parts of being a soccer fan is there always seems to be a great game to watch. The beauty of soccer being a global sports means there are competitive leagues all around the world.
Since soccer matches happen all over the world, it’s tough to watch a bunch of matches with just a basic cable package. Thankfully, the trend of streaming TV has blown up and with that so has the options to stream soccer from around the globe.
Roku TVs and Roku streaming players have become a one stop shop for all your soccer streaming needs, whether you decided to cut cable or have a cable subscription. Here are some of the best Roku channels to stream soccer matches live!

FuboTV – This is one of the top streaming services for cord cutters as it does not require a cable subscription. You can watch matches from the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, MLS, Primeira Liga, Ligue 1, Liga MX, Russian Premier, Brazilian League, and Uruguayan League. Plus, there are plenty of live matches you can stream during some of the biggest tournaments in the sport.
FuboTV also has tons of other TV channels to watch, for just $34.99 per month. It’s still early days on this version of the service, which was launched in beta early in 2017. There’s definitely a heavy focus on watching sports and there’s even some club TV channels available to stream. You can test out the service for a day with the 24-hour free trial.
FOX Sports Go – This channel can be accessed with a subscription to a streaming service, like PlayStation Vue, or with a cable subscription. You can watch a ton of soccer on this channel, but the specific FOX channels you can watch will depend on what you get with your streaming service or cable subscription. Channels like FOX Sports, FS1, regional FOX Sports networks, FOX Soccer Plus, FOX Deportes, and several others are all potentially available.
NBC Sports – Any fans of the English Premier League will want access to the NBC Sports channel. NBC owns the broadcast rights to the EPL, so this will be an easy way to stream those matches. You can access the channel if your cable package or streaming service includes NBC Sports live.
WatchESPN – This channel is widely available. As long as ESPN is included in your streaming service, cable, or satellite subscription, you can sign in to WatchESPN. In fact, you can even log in with some ISP credentials. There’s plenty of soccer to stream here as well since ESPN has broadcast rights to matches from both the MLS and UEFA Champions League. ESPN also will air the UEFA Euro tournaments and the International Champions Cups.
Sling TV – Standalone streaming service Sling TV can be watched for as low as $20 per month for the Sling Orange package. This includes several ESPN channels, which will be helpful to watch plenty of soccer, and gives you access to the WatchESPN channel. You can test this package out with a weeklong free trial.
The other starting package, Sling Blue, costs $25 per month and features several FOX channels including FS1, FS2, and local FOX Sports networks. You can get the Sling Orange + Sling Blue package, which includes all of these channels for $40 per month. Or, you can even pay just $5 more for the Best of Spanish TV Extra package. You’ll get beIN Sports, ESPN Deportes, and Univision, which will all offer tons of soccer matches to stream.
ESPN+ – MLS LIVE is available on ESPN+, ESPN’s new live and on-demand streaming service. For just $4.99 a month, fans can watch hundreds of out-of-market MLS games.
A Roku TV or Roku streaming player have now become a must have for both casual and diehard soccer fans alike. Nowadays, you’ve got no excuses to miss many soccer matches this year.
