This Old House and more coming to The Roku Channel

It’s an exciting time to be a streamer! Over the last year, we’ve worked hard to bring you amazing entertainment, with ease, value and choice at the center of our offering. Today we’re excited to announce that we’ve acquired “This Old House” and its robust 1,500+ episode library. With this acquisition, we hope to build on the legacy of the brand and bring even more beloved This Old House programming to our viewers on The Roku Channel.

When “This Old House” premiered in 1979, the show launched a new television genre, empowering legions of home remodelers and enthusiasts with guidance from trusted home improvement experts. More than four decades and 19 Emmy Awards later, “This Old House” and “Ask This Old House” continue to connect with audiences and were the two top-rated home improvement programs in the U.S. in 2020.

Past seasons of “This Old House” and “Ask This Old House” are already available for free on The Roku Channel through both linear and on demand programming. As a special treat to our viewers, you’ll now be able to stream current seasons (“This Old House”: Season 42 and “Ask This Old House”: Season 19) for free on The Roku Channel as on demand episodes after they air on local PBS stations.

The Roku Channel is the home of free and premium entertainment on the Roku platform. Today, The Roku Channel’s diverse lineup features more than 40,000 free movies and programs and 165+ free live linear television channels.
