The Roku Channel to bring “Weird Al” Yankovic’s story to life in new Roku Original comedy starring Daniel Radcliffe

Hi Streamers! Get ready, because things are about to get really “weird” over at The Roku Channel. We could not be more thrilled to share that we’re bringing you “WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story.”

The Roku Channel to bring “Weird Al” Yankovic’s story to life in new Roku Original comedy starring Daniel Radcliffe

This feature-length film will hilariously recount the prolific life and career of the biggest-selling comedy recording artist of all time “Weird Al” Yankovic.  Actor Daniel Radcliffe will portray the man behind the parodies.

The Roku Channel is collaborating with an incredible creative team to bring this story to life. “WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story” is produced by Funny Or Die and Tango. Al Yankovic himself wrote the film, along with Eric Appel

Eric Appel (who also directed Roku Original DIE HART) will also serve as the film’s director and executive producer.  Al Yankovic also produces, along with Mike Farah, Joe Farrell and Whitney Hodack for Funny Or Die, and Tim Headington, Lia Buman and Max Silva for Tango. Funny Or Die’s Henry Muñoz III and Tango’s Neil Shah are executive producers.
