Telstra selects Roku to Power its Telstra TV Streaming Service
Today we have announced that Australian telecom operator Telstra has joined the Roku Powered licensing program. Telstra has chosen the Roku streaming platform to deliver its new streaming service, Telstra TV, to consumers. The Telstra TV streaming service will launch later this year in Australia and will combine Telstra’s BigPond movie service with popular streaming services like Presto, Stan, Netflix and various catch up TV channels.
Welcoming Telstra to the Roku Powered licensing program is a special moment, because Telstra is the first telecom operator that joins the program and it is the first launch for Roku Down Under! Telstra is the fourth operator globally that will leverage the Roku streaming platform to deliver an OTT service to its customers after Sky UK, Sky Deutschland and Sky Italia.
