Roku UK: Where to watch superhero movies
Holy streaming, Batman! Everybody loves a superhero, and whether you’re team DC or Marvel, you can stream them on your Roku player. Here are three of our favourites and the channels you can find them on!
Batman (aka Bruce Wayne)
Also referred to as the Dark Knight and the Caped Crusader, Batman is quite possibly the world’s greatest detective. Having witnessed the murder of his parents as a child, Bruce Wayne swore revenge on criminals. From that day forward, he trained himself physically and mentally, taking on a bat-inspired persona to fight crime!

Batman Begins (2005) – In the wake of his parents’ murder, Bruce Wayne travels the world seeking the means to fight injustice and turn fear against those who prey on the fearful. He returns to Gotham as ‘Batman’, a masked crusader intent on fighting the sinister forces that threaten the city. Available on Google Play
The Dark Knight (2008) – Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organisations that plague the streets of Gotham, but soon finds himself pitched against a twisted villain known as ‘The Joker’. Available on Google Play
Iron Man (aka Tony Stark)
Business magnate, billionaire playboy, engineering genius; Tony Stark is a man of many talents. His life as a superhero began after he was kidnapped and ordered to build a weapon of mass destruction. Tony used his extreme intelligence to outwit his captors by creating a powerful body suit which saved his life and allowed him to escape. Now, with his new-found status as an inventor of advanced weapons and armour, Tony Stark uses his suit to fight for justice and protect the world as ‘Iron Man’.

Iron Man 2 (2010) – When an unscrupulous arms maker teams with a rogue Russian physicist, it’s up to Iron Man and his friend Lt. Col James Rhodes to take them down. Available on Netflix
Iron Man 3 (2013) Stark sets out to unmask a malevolent enemy, known only as the Mandarin. Available on Netflix.
Superman (aka Clark Kent)
Probably the most iconic superhero of all time, Superman was just a baby when he was rocketed to earth from the dying planet Krypton. Discovered and adopted by a Kansas farming couple, baby Kal-El was raised as Clark Kent. When his superhuman abilities began to emerge, Clark vowed to use them for the benefit of humanity…

Fleischer’s Superman, the animated series (1940s) – The original cartoon Superman adventures are a real retro treat. Watch the superhero save the planet in classic episodes such as Electric Earthquake, The Mechanical Monsters and Destruction, Inc. Available on Viewster, Snagfilms and the Superman Classics channel.
Man of Steel (2013) – Although Man of Steel is the most recent depiction of Superman, the film explores the character’s origin story. Watch events unfold as the young Clark Kent goes on a personal journey of discovery which turns him into the “symbol of hope for all mankind”. Available on Google Play.
