- Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom (Movie) – Idris Elba plays the African National Congress legend who overcame apartheid to become the first black president of South Africa. Director Justin Chadwick (The Other Boleyn Girl) chronicles Nelson Mandela’s journey from his childhood in a rural village via 27 years in solitary confinement through to his inauguration as the country’s president. - The Secret Life of Pets (Series) – This delightful series gets under the sometimes leathery skin of our animal friends, exploring how we live with them, care for them and also rely on them to protect and defend as well as comfort us in our time of need.
