Roku remains the most popular brand of streaming players!
New research from Parks Associates has again confirmed Roku’s lead in streaming player sales – ahead of Amazon, Google and Apple in streaming player sales purchased from Q1 2015 to Q1 2016. Ease of use, access to more than 3,000 streaming channels, including 300,000+ movies and TV episodes, and Roku’s comprehensive and unbiased universal search and discovery features are but a few of the reasons why Roku is once again your streaming player of choice.
Roku was founded on the belief that all TV will be streamed and we are seeing that come to fruition. According to the research, 36% of U.S. broadband households have at least one streaming player, which is up 9% from last year. Parks Associates estimates that 86 million streaming players will be sold globally in 2019.
With the influx of OTT content available including HBO NOW, SHOWTIME and Sling TV, an ever-growing collection of TV Everywhere channels and a surge in the quality and range of free channels, it’s easier than ever to stream what you want, when you want.
Happy streaming everyone!
