Roku Original “Slugfest,” executive produced by the Russo Brothers, premieres on 12/24

Hi Streamers! You may be familiar with the adventures of Spiderman, Batman, Superman and every character in between, but did you know that one creative competition was responsible for turning these superheroes into household names?

Our newest Roku Original, “Slugfest,” executive produced by industry icons Joseph Russo and Anthony Russo, explores how the decades-long relationship and rivalry between creative powerhouses Marvel and DC Comics pushed both companies to innovate and develop the stories that continue to captivate millions of fans around the world today.

Narrated by Kevin Smith, each of this series’ 10 episodes dive into a unique story from the companies rich and intermingled history.  Don Argott and Sheena M. Joyce served as directors and producers include Todd Makurath, Peter Rieveschl, Nick Gilhool and Jen Casey. “Slugfest” was created in partnership with AGBO.
