Smarter entertainment discovery with voice
Roku Voice has always been built around a “TV first” experience, and now it’s evolving. What started as a simple command tool is becoming a smart entertainment guide powered byAI.

You can ask Roku Voice questions about movies, shows, and actors and see the answers right on your TV. For example, try asking fun questions like:
- “What’s Barbie about?”
- “How scary is The Shining?”
- “What kind of fish is Nemo?”
You can even ask follow-up questions, and Roku Voice will keep up with the conversation. You’ll get answers without reaching for your phone or laptop — Roku Voice responds directly on your screen, with quick launch options for relevant content.
Purpose-built for streaming and now powered by AI, Roku Voice helps you find what you want to watch, faster and smarter — right on your TV. Always available, always helpful, and always one step ahead.
The discovery doesn’t stop there…
We’re making your next movie or TV night a breeze. Trailer playbacks are now more interactive with the new button Ways to Watch, so you can jump in right from the preview. No more digging around after a trailer catches your attention — just tap to find out how to stream.

Last month, we brought Search to the What to Watch destination, making it easier to discover your next show while browsing. And since Search is one of the most-loved features on Roku, we’re expanding it out to even more places — starting with the Live TV Zone and in the coming months, the Live TV Channel Guide.

With Search, you can quickly track down your go-to channels, explore new genres, or jump straight to shows and movies whether they’re live, trending, or on-demand. It’s a simpler way to search and just a click away.

As you browse for your next entertainment, you’ll now see where to stream each title — no extra clicks needed. We highlight up to two streaming apps under each title, shown based on your active subscriptions. Want to see more options? Just select a title to explore more details and dive right in.

Additionally, Bluetooth Headphone Mode is rolling out globally to the Roku Streaming Stick and Streaming Stick Plus, bringing crisp, private audio to music lovers and late-night TV viewers alike. Connect your Bluetooth headphones or earbuds and enjoy without disturbing anyone around you — no extra setup, no wires, just seamless sound.
Real-time sports updates
We designed Roku Sports with fans in mind, making game discovery less complicated and more dynamic. Whether you’re tuning in live or catching up on highlights, Roku Sports keeps you in the game.

We’re rolling out two new features to enhance sports discovery: Live Scores and Reminders. As you browse, live scores will now appear on game tiles, so you can check scores and results from multiple sporting events all in one place. Scores update in real time, keeping you informed and always in the know. Prefer to avoid spoilers? No problem. You can choose to hide scores as well.

With reminders, you’ll never miss a game. Set reminders for upcoming matchups right on your screen, and Roku will notify you with a mobile notification when it’s time to tune in. Whether it’s the playoffs or a can’t‑miss rivalry, reminders ensure you’re always ready for kickoff, tip-off, or first pitch.
Do more with mobile
Since its launch, the Roku Mobile app has continued to evolve into a smarter streaming sidekick — now ranking among the top 10 entertainment apps in the Apple App Store, which is a testament to its popularity.

The Roku Mobile app is the ultimate companion for discovering and controlling your entertainment, and we’re making it even better.
In the coming weeks, your favorite shortcuts will be just a tap away. We’re adding some of the most-requested tools like Closed Captions, Find My Remote, Sleep Timer, Daily Trivia, and more, as quick-access shortcuts for faster navigation and a more personalized experience.
While browsing through the mobile app, you’ll also find a new Rate button that lets you Like, Dislike, or mark a title as Watched — just like on your TV. Your feedback will sync across all your devices, helping us serve up smarter recommendations.
And soon, the For You page is getting a navigation bar with content organized into categories like TV Shows, Movies, Sports, and more — making your entertainment feel curated, not cluttered.
More convenience, less hassle. Just the way streaming with mobile should be.
Speaking of feedback…
With our new personalization feature, you can shape your streaming experience by selecting your favorite TV shows, movies, and sports teams. Just tap the thumbs up on what you like, and we’ll build a curated list of titles automatically added to your Save List for quick access.
