Now Launching: Customize your Roku home screen with new custom Themes including Game of Thrones®

If you’re like me, you look forward to your precious streaming time after a long day. Who else gets giddy when they plop down on the couch and get greeted by the purple home screen? Well, today the purple screen got a little more fun!

We’re excited to share that we’ve launched new custom home screen Themes – another way to personalize your Roku experience. Here at Roku we strive to not only give our customers the best streaming experience, but also the most fun and choice to stream on your terms. We think you’ll have fun with the nine home screen options (and more on the way!), ranging from your favorite TV shows, movies and hobbies. There’s certain to be a Theme to reflect your personal interests and streaming style.

To celebrate the launch of custom themes, and this Sunday’s season 5 premiere, we’re excited to announce the availability of a FREE custom theme for Game of Thrones®. You’ll be able to add this theme at no cost for a limited time to bring Westeros to your Roku home screen. The stunning Theme features Khaleesi’s dragon and Tyrion on the home screen. As you scroll to the right, the dragon will remain on screen keeping watch as you navigate through the UI.

The new custom Themes include a number of fan favorites, such as Star Trek and Star Trek: The Next Generation. These themes include screensavers so the Enterprise voyage can continue on while you’re taking a streaming break. Download this custom Theme and boldly go where no one has gone before!

You can find the new Themes under “Themes” in the U.S. Roku Channel Store today on Roku player and Roku TV models. Themes for Game of Thrones and Netflix original series House of Cards are free for a limited time only. Additional Themes range from $0.99 and $2.99. To manage your downloaded themes, go to Settings > Themes.
