NewsON: Free Local News Channel Now Available Exclusively on the Roku platform

This just in, streamers! For the first time ever there’s a local news channel with broadcast quality video just for you. Available today, NewsON provides a free nationwide lineup of local news from TV stations and it’s now available exclusively on the Roku platform for Roku players and Roku TV models in the U.S.

At launch the NewsON channel delivers free live and on-demand local newscasts and local news clips from 118 stations in 90 markets. Going forward, in addition to the stations available initially, NewsON will welcome new ones from existing and additional markets in the US.

Your local market news feed will automatically stream when you launch the channel. Missing the local news from your hometown? With only a few clicks on the remote you can switch to local broadcasts from other regions.

It’s easy to jump from live broadcasts to local news clips on demand using the arrow buttons on the Roku remote – you can even view previous newscasts.

You can find NewsON under “News & Weather” in the U.S. Roku Channel Store now on current-generation Roku players and Roku TV models.
