 Philadelphia (1993): When a man with HIV is fired by his law firm because of his condition, he hires a homophobic small time lawyer as the only willing advocate for a wrongful dismissal suit. Starring Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington.

 The Hunt for Red October (1990): In November 1984, the Soviet Union’s best submarine captain in their newest sub violates orders and heads for the USA. Is he trying to defect or to start a war? Starring Sean Connery and Alec Baldwin.

 The Quick and the Dead (1995): A female gunfighter returns to a frontier town where a dueling tournament is being held, which she enters in an effort to avenge her father’s death. Starring Gene Hackman, Sharon Stone, and Russell Crowe.

 Windtalkers (2002): Two U.S. Marines in World War II are assigned to protect Navajo Marines, who use their native language as an unbreakable radio cypher. Starring Nicolas Cage and Adam Beach.

Earth: Final Conflict (TV series, 1997): When an alien species comes to Earth bearing boons to Humanity, a few suspicious humans seek to learn and resist the newcomers’ true designs.
