Roku arrives in Brazil

“Chegamos ao Brasil!” We’ve arrived in Brazil!

For months we’ve been eyeing Brazil not only for its gorgeous beaches and wonderful cuisine, but also because of the growth the streaming industry is experiencing in this country. Content providers are investing in great local content and consumers are streaming entertainment whenever and wherever they can.

Today, we’re excited to announce that Roku is expanding to Brazil. The #1 TV streaming platform* in the United States is coming to Brazil to bring affordable streaming to consumers in the country.

We are beginning our presence in Brazil with Roku TV. The Roku TV licensing program launched six years ago, and it enables TV brands an easy and cost-effective way to make best-in-class smart TVs at competitive price points. The Roku OS is currently the #1 licensed TV operating system in North America**.

We are partnering with AOC to bring the AOC Roku TV to Brazil, offering consumers a smart TV experience that is easy to use, with an amazing content selection at an affordable value. The new AOC Roku TV line-up will be available in both 32-inch and 43-inch sizes at major retail stores in Brazil in the upcoming weeks.

A key part of our entertainment experience is to offer the best local content in each country where we operate. In Brazil, we are excited to partner with Globo to bring the Globoplay channel to the Roku platform, allowing consumers to enjoy live TV, top movies and TV shows, on demand.

In addition to Globoplay, consumers will be able to enjoy thousands of movies & TV episodes across more than 5,000 paid and free channels such as the Apple TV app, Google Play, HBO GO, Netflix and YouTube.

We will also be offering two great Brazilian channels, Looke for on-demand movies and TV series, and Playkids, a great channel for kids and family, with more to come.

Sports aficionados will be able to enjoy live sports on DAZN, while families can stream fun content for the little ones on BabyFirst TV and Happy Kids. Music lovers will be able to stream the latest tracks on Deezer and Spotify on the Roku platform.
